iROC: The high-density optical rack evolves with greater density, greater modularity, and greater efficiency

Given the constant increase in connectivity needs in data centers, optical infrastructures must evolve to offer greater density, flexibility, and operational simplicity.

With this in mind, we have further developed our iROC high-density optical rack. This new version retains the reliability that has made it so successful, while incorporating several enhancements designed to optimize the installation, operation, and scalability of fiber-optic networks.

A high-density optical rack designed for the infrastructure of tomorrow

The new generation of the iROC high-density optical rack has been developed to optimize the use of available space in racks while simplifying day-to-day operations. It can now accommodate up to 144 fibers in 1U and up to 288 fibers in 2U, providing high connection density for high-capacity infrastructures.

In addition to its high density, the iROC offers greater modularity, allowing it to adapt more easily to changes in networks. Its design supports infrastructure growth while facilitating future expansions.

Designed to simplify daily operations, the iROC allows modules to be inserted and removed from both the front and the rear. Its pivoting front panel makes it easy to locate fibers and route cables. An optional removable rear tray also helps optimize the securing of pre-terminated cables or cables to be spliced.
Combined with the labeling areas provided for identifying connections, these features help improve rack organization and facilitate maintenance operations.

With this development, the iROC reaffirms its mission: to provide a reliable, scalable high-density optical switching solution tailored to the needs of today’s and tomorrow’s data centers.
